happy birthday jeff!

Kathy called me and asked me to make her son, Jeff, a birthday cake because she couldn't be there for his birthday so of course I agreed. Jeff was going to Kenya soon so she wanted me to recreate the Kenyan flag. He is also really into politics so Jeff's brother thought I should make him a political cake! He was really surprised and loved them!

My college Grandma, Jean, had a birthday so I brought her this little cake at Hope Group! Italian cream cake with cream cheese icing....her fave!

My niece Audrey celebrated her 4th birthday this year with a butterfly party! I had such a fun time making the cake. She just loved it!

210 Formal

When my friend's decided to throw a formal in their backyard of course I agreed to make a huge cake for it! It was my first 3-tiered cake as well, but it went great! They made an entire bamboo structure in their backyard, set up about 30 tables with chairs, and created a dance floor. Everyone brought dates came in their formal dresses, had a sit down dinner, and then danced. Entertainment was even provided during dinner. It was amazing! I can't believe they actually pulled it off. I think almost 200 people showed up! So fun!

Fire Party

Since my friend Wes was going off to the Firefighter's Academy we threw him a "Fire Party". Complete with flame cuppycakes and little fire truck cookies that I have to say were pretty adorable!

Tyson wanted a "Black & White" themed birthday party so Chelsea, Lacey, and I threw him one! This was my first tiered cake so a little shaky, probably because everyone was staring at me while I was finishing it. Made me very nervous! But it came out pretty well considering I think a someone accidentally smudged some of it!

Little Bill

Bill turned 23 so my roomie, Lacey, and I decided to throw him a party! Remember that TV show "Little Bill" on Nickelodeon? Well we figured it was the perfect theme for his party! Everyone dressed up like 5 year olds and we had a great time!

Hurricane ike....yikes. Lacey, Bill, and I made this cake the weekend Ike was happening in hopes that it wouldn't destroy my hometown. Good times...

Summer of Cakes!

Last summer when I was taking my classes I had some opportunities to make some birthday cakes! I think I drove my brother crazy always making a huge mess in the kitchen. Beauty comes at a price. Right?
